AmeriStop was founded in 1967. From 1967 to 2000 AmeriStop retail locations were primarily franchisee owned locations with Ohio Valley, AFM as the franchisor. Through acquisitions, the AmeriStop store count has grown from 113 locations in 2000 to 140 in 2004. There are currently 55 company owned locations and 85 franchise owned. |

With the average store over 3,250 square feet, these locations offer over 5000 products and are a blend between a traditional grocery store and a convenience store. Many of these Market locations have full deliís, produce, and a large selection of grocery items. All locations have soft serve ice cream, lottery, money orders, pre-paid cellular, and gift cards. Many have fuel facilities. |
